Cookie policy
No cookies until you choose. Then one to remember your choice, and Google Analytics only if you say yes.

What are cookies?
Small files a website saves in your browser so it can remember something about your visit. Mudgley Gardening & Fencing (a trading name of Dennis Phillips, sole trader) keeps them to a minimum.
Which cookies does this site set?
None until you make a choice in the cookie banner. After that:
| Cookie | What it does | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| mg_consent | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner, so we don't ask on every page. The same choice is kept in your browser's local storage. | Essential | 180 days |
| _ga | Google Analytics: tells one visit from another so we can count visitors. Only set if you accept analytics. | Analytics (optional) | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics: keeps track of your visit to this site (the * is the site's analytics ID). Only set if you accept analytics. | Analytics (optional) | 2 years |
We run no advertising cookies. The banner has an advertising option so that, if we ever run adverts, nothing is measured without your say-so first.
How does consent work here?
Until you choose, everything optional is off: the site tells Google that analytics, advertising and preference storage are all
"denied", and no Google code loads. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may then load and set the two _ga cookies.
If you choose "Essential only", only mg_consent is set, to remember that choice.
How do I change my settings?
Use "Cookie settings" at the foot of any page, or the button below. To remove cookies already set, clear them in your browser's settings.
