A raised timber deck at Rooksbridge, stage by stage

This is a raised timber deck we built at Rooksbridge in August 2026, photographed as it went up: the posts set and the frame marked out, the frame levelled, then the boards laid. The five photos below run in order. Raised decks always get a visit before we quote, so we can check the ground and the levels.

How did the deck go up?

We started with the posts and the frame, checked the frame level across its length, then laid the boards. A raised deck is only as good as its frame, so most of the time goes into getting that square, level and solid.

This is how we described it on our Facebook page while the job was under way:

New raised decking project, work in progress. From the initial framework and supports, through to the decking boards and finishing touches, we’re making sure everything is built solid, secure and to a high standard.
